This isn't really something to help you in your workshop. But I have an idea for you to make something in your workshop that will help you in your home. If your like me, you tend to get pretty busy on some days and its hard to predict when you will be home. You always have that thought in your mind, "my dog is probably starving, I've been gone all day!"
You can solve that problem by using some of the old buckets laying around in your workshop, basement, or your garage. You need to find a five gallon bucket. Many people who have workshops will have atleast one of the laying around. You can also use a smaller bucket if you want.
First take the bucket and cut a small doorway out of the side. Mark the bucket at the bottom with the two marks about 6 inches apart. The cut needs to be one mark and arched over to the other mark amking enough room for food to flow through. Then take your dog food dish, cut about 6 inches out of the side of it (enough to fit in the "doorway" of the bucket.
Use some good holding adhesive and glue the two together. Fill the bucket with how ever much food you want. Your done! Now you never have to worry if your dog will run out of food before you come home!
